Kambua

Gospel minister Kambua Manundu says she struggles to answer when people ask her how many children she has as she does not know how to respond to the question.

In a TikTok video, Kambua explained

"Do I have two children because I have two at home? Or do I have three children because I gave birth to three and one left. Or do I have four children because I had a miscarriage?" She asked

Adding

"I really don't know how to answer that question because they were all pregnancies that I carried and babies that I valued and wanted to hold."

October is recognised globally as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

It is a moment to honor and remember those affected by miscarriage or stillbirth, SIDS, and pregnancy and infant loss.

The Ametenda Zaidi hitmaker provided further details about her struggle as part of the awareness campaign.

She has two children currently, a boy and a girl, Nathaniel and Natalie and sadly suffered a miscarriage.

Kambua and her husband Pastor Jackson Mathu welcomed their first child, Nathaniel Muhoro Mathu, in 2019.

She opened up about struggles conceiving, calling for compassion.

In February 2021, Malachi, the second child, died a few days after delivery.

"This is the month where we take time to remember mothers who have gone through miscarriage like I did. I never knew that I would be the one in four who would have a miscarriage. I never knew I would be the one in eight who would experience child loss but this is a reality we live with."

Kambua encouraged mothers who have lost an embryo, those who lost twin pregnancies, mother who lost child at birth, mother who has a stillbirth, the mother who cannot conceive.

"This is the month to remember all of you and to remind you that you are seen, you are so loved and you are not alone. Its gonna be okay, from my heart to yours." She concluded.
