Social media personality Frank Doso, popularly known as the ex-boyfriend of content creator Lydia Wanjiru, has sparked reactions after opening up about the money he previously spent on a woman, admitting that he sometimes wishes he could slap himself for his past financial decisions.
In a video shared on his Instagram Stories, Doso reflected on how much money he used to spend on a romantic partner, questioning why he made such financial sacrifices when he still had personal responsibilities to take care of.
“Saa zingine nakaanga hivi najiuliza kama ni mimi nilikuwa natumia dem 100k nasikia kujislap,” he said.
He went on to mention several amounts, including KSh100,000, KSh150,000 and KSh70,000, expressing disbelief at how much he had spent.

In the video, Doso appeared to compare the money he spent on his former romantic partner with the personal needs he had yet to address.
“100K, 150K, 70 gs, iyo time gari yangu BMW 2007 inahitaji engine mpya, saa izo bado kwangu niko na screen ya 43 inch natumia dem iyo pesa yote manzee,” he said.
His remarks suggested that while he was spending substantial amounts on his partner, his own car needed a new engine and he was still using a 43-inch television at home.
The content creator appeared to be questioning why he prioritised spending on a woman while some of his personal needs remained unattended.
His candid admission has also brought attention to the financial sacrifices people sometimes make while trying to maintain romantic relationships.

Despite expressing regret over his past spending habits, Doso maintained that he had taken the experience as a learning opportunity.
He acknowledged that life comes with lessons and suggested that his previous experiences had influenced how he now approaches his personal development.
“But you know what wanasema, life is a lesson you learn every day. This is why I'm now working on myself,” he added.
His statement suggests that he is now more focused on personal growth and addressing his own priorities rather than making the same financial decisions.
