Kisumu entertainer Alfred Odipo has challenged Nairobi nightlife establishments to learn from Kisumu's party culture, claiming that clubs in the lakeside city offer a different experience when it comes to partying until morning.

In a short video shared on Facebook, Odipo narrated his experience at Quiver Kilimani, where he had gone out with two of his friends for a night of entertainment.

According to the entertainer, he was surprised when the club began preparing to close at 7 AM, a time he believes Kisumu revellers are only getting started.

He used the experience to question Nairobi's nightlife culture, insisting that entertainment establishments in the capital could learn a thing or two from their counterparts in Kisumu.

“Nairobi clubs should come to Kisumu and benchmark!” Odipo declared.

His remarks have since sparked conversations about the differences between nightlife experiences in the two cities.

Alfred Odipo Narrates Quiver Kilimani Experience

Sharing his experience, Odipo explained that he had visited Quiver Kilimani alongside two friends, expecting to enjoy an extended night out.

However, things did not go as he had anticipated.

The entertainer claimed that by 7 AM, the establishment was already signalling that it was time for customers to leave as it prepared to close.

For Odipo, the experience was unexpected because he believed the party was still gaining momentum.

He suggested that the Nairobi nightlife scene operates differently from what revellers experience in Kisumu, where late-night entertainment can extend well into the morning.

His account appeared to leave him questioning why Nairobi clubs could not accommodate partygoers for longer, particularly those who enjoy dancing and socialising until sunrise.

'In Kisumu, 7 AM Is When the Party Begins'

Odipo went on to compare the nightlife culture in Kisumu with that of Nairobi, arguing that the lakeside city's party scene operates on a different schedule.

According to him, 7 AM is not necessarily the time to end a night out in Kisumu but rather when the party begins.

He further claimed that Nairobi clubs rarely have revellers still partying at that hour, using his experience at Quiver Kilimani to illustrate his point.

His comments have brought attention to Kisumu's entertainment scene, which has developed a reputation among some revellers for its extended nightlife culture.

However, nightlife experiences vary depending on individual establishments, operating policies and the preferences of customers.
