Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid has sparked debate among Kenyan music fans after details of a KSh 2 million VIP package for his upcoming Nairobi performance emerged online.

The singer is scheduled to headline the Detty Dezemba Festival on December 12, 2026, with the premium package attracting attention because of its price and the benefits offered to those willing to pay for the exclusive experience.

The package, known as the OGBAFIA Table, accommodates up to 30 guests and includes a private section, dedicated security and personal service throughout the event.

It also comes with a KSh 1 million bar tab, a photo session with the artists, 20 parking stickers and exclusive pick-up and drop-off services.

What does Wizkid’s KSh 2 million package offer?

The package has prompted questions about whether its benefits justify the price, particularly among fans comparing it with ordinary concert tickets.

With space for 30 people, the KSh 2 million package works out to approximately KSh 66,667 per person if the cost is shared equally among the group.

The KSh 1 million bar tab is another major feature, accounting for half of the package’s advertised price.

However, some fans have questioned how useful the additional benefits would be, particularly the bar tab and the arrangements for parking and transport.

@joel asked: “KSh 2 million Kenyatta Dollars? kwani inafaa niende na yeye Lagos hadi next year December😂,”

Kenyans question whether the VIP experience is worth it.

Other fans examined the package more critically, questioning the practical value of some of the benefits.

@The Lovee Child questioned whether the bar tab would be refundable if guests failed to spend the entire amount.

“The perks on the packages are what’s confusing me. 30 people sharing a KSh 1 million bar tab. What happens if you don’t exhaust the tab? Is the balance refundable or does it go to waste?”

The user also questioned the value of the photo session and the combination of parking stickers with the promised transport arrangements.

The reactions highlight the differing views among music fans, with some treating the package as a luxury experience for groups that can afford it, while others question whether the advertised benefits justify the expense.

The December 12 festival will also feature South African DJ and producer Uncle Waffles, with additional performers expected to be announced.

While standard admission tickets offer a more affordable way to attend, the premium package has become a talking point ahead of the event.

For now, the KSh 2 million offer has sparked a debate about luxury entertainment, with Kenyans weighing the appeal of exclusive access against the cost of securing it.
