Cooperatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya says his ministry will support a cooperative sector that is professionally managed, financially sound, innovative and accountable to its members. Speaking during the Stima DT Sacco Annual Delegates Conference in Mombasa, Oparanya said cooperatives remain central to Kenya’s economic development because they enable people to achieve together what may be difficult individually. He urged Saccos to invest in reliable technology to improve transaction convenience, enhance timely information sharing and strengthen their overall competitiveness.
