Kindiki inspects Bahati affordable housing project in Nakuru

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has inspected ongoing construction works at the Bahati Affordable Housing Project in Nakuru County, where the first two phases will deliver a combined 1,287 housing units at a cost of approximately Sh3.5 billion.

Phase One comprises 220 housing units and is expected to cost Sh504 million, while Phase Two will deliver 1,067 houses at a cost of Sh3 billion.

The project is currently employing 700 workers, contributing to job creation through the government's affordable housing programme.

Nationally, about 1.1 million people are employed across various projects financed through the Housing Fund.
