Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has announced the end of his relationship with partner Brenda, days after a DNA test excluded him as the biological father of her son.

The musician, whose real name is Stephen Otieno Adera, announced the split on Tuesday, 20 October, in a statement on his social media pages.

“Following the DNA test results, I wish to officially announce that Brenda and I are no longer together as a couple,” he wrote.

“I have chosen to handle this with dignity and respect for everyone involved,” he said.

The post spread quickly online and drew a large response from fans, many of whom have followed his personal life closely in recent years.

What the DNA test found

The paternity test was carried out by Microafia Healthcare. Samples were collected on 25 September, and the results were released on 10 October 2026.

According to the laboratory report, the analysis found multiple genetic mismatches. These excluded Stevo as the biological father of the child, named as Aiden Maleek.

The boy is nicknamed Dragon Junior, a reference to Stevo’s stage name, Dragon of Africa.

Another user, @jefflawgan, called for legal protection for men in similar situations. He wrote: “I honestly feel like there should be laws in place to protect men in such circumstances. The decision to seek a DNA test is already a heavy and emotionally draining one to make. 💔 So many men have suffered silently, carrying pain, doubt, and questions they’re afraid to voice. It’s time we acknowledged this reality and created room for fairness, truth, and justice for everyone involved.”
