American R&B star Ne-Yo has landed in Nairobi ahead of his highly anticipated return to Kenya, 11 years after his last visit to the country.
The singer touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday evening, October 19, ahead of his scheduled performance at the One Night Only: Brunch Edition concert on Mashujaa Day.
Ne-Yo is expected to headline the event at Ulinzi Sports Complex, where fans will have an opportunity to enjoy some of his biggest hits live.
His arrival was also highlighted by Nairobi Gossip Club, which shared photographs of the musician after he landed in the country.
The concert marks a significant moment for Kenyan fans who have followed his music over the years, particularly those who grew up listening to his popular R&B hits.

Ne-Yo Returns to Kenya After 11 Years
The singer, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, last visited Kenya in August 2015 during the third season of Coke Studio Africa.
During that visit, he worked alongside several African musicians, including Kenyan rapper Wangechi, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba, Ugandan musician Maurice Kirya, and Nigerian rapper Ice Prince.
He also collaborated with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz on the song Marry You, which became popular across East Africa.
Ne-Yo has built an international following through songs such as So Sick, Miss Independent, Because of You and Closer.
His songwriting credits also include Beyoncé’s hit Irreplaceable, further establishing his reputation as both a performer and a songwriter.

What to Expect at the Nairobi Concert
The One Night Only: Brunch Edition is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 20, at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.

British showband Sol & The Gang is also scheduled to perform, adding a live-band element to the entertainment lineup.
The concert is being presented as part of the Mashujaa Day celebrations, giving fans an opportunity to spend the public holiday enjoying live music.
Fans Anticipate a Night of R&B Classics
Ne-Yo’s return has generated excitement among fans eager to hear the songs that helped define his career.
For many listeners, tracks such as So Sick and Miss Independent remain favourites, having enjoyed lasting popularity since their release.
His Nairobi performance also comes after scheduled concerts in Cape Town and Pretoria, South Africa, as part of his October African tour.
With the singer now in the country, attention turns to Tuesday’s show and the possibility of hearing familiar classics alongside material from his more recent musical projects.
For Kenyan R&B lovers, the concert offers a long-awaited opportunity to experience the Grammy-winning artist live on stage once again.
