Content creator Diana Nikita has publicly called out influencer marketing platform Twiva Inc over alleged delayed payments, demanding compensation for work she says she has completed and urging brands to reconsider working with the company.

In a series of statements, Diana expressed frustration over the situation, questioning whether creators were being taken seriously when they demanded payment for completed work.

“Yaani you guys think I have not gone to school or what or you think I lack knowledge??? Unbelievable,” she said.

Diana also urged brands to reconsider giving Twiva brand deals if creators continued experiencing similar treatment, arguing that companies should take payment concerns seriously.

Diana Receives Remittance Advice After Speaking Out

In a subsequent update, Diana revealed that after publicly raising concerns about her delayed payment, she received a remittance advice dated October 19.

“After I spoke publicly about my delayed payment, I received this remittance advice dated 19 October. I appreciate the update, but a remittance advice is not the same as money reflecting in my account,” she stated.

Her remarks highlight the distinction between receiving notification of a payment and having the actual funds reflected in one's bank account.

A remittance advice typically provides information about a payment that has been made or arranged. However, receiving the document does not necessarily mean the funds are already available to the recipient.

Diana Questions Lack of Unity Among Creators

The content creator also turned her attention to fellow influencers, particularly creators from Mombasa, expressing disappointment over what she perceives as a lack of public support.

Diana claimed that several Mombasa-based creators had been viewing her social media stories about the issue but had not spoken up publicly.

“Now I am seeing the Mombasa creators, most of them actually watching my stories, and I know y'all discussing behind the tent and not doing anything. It's very frustrating,” she said.

She went on to challenge creators who believe they might receive different treatment, urging them to reconsider their continued association with the platform.

“And if you think you will be treated differently, continue being desperate. Y'all should even unfollow them because what other evidence do you need after multiple reports of such cases? Y'all don't have unity for real,” Diana added.

Her comments reflect her frustration with what she considers a lack of solidarity among creators despite previous complaints about alleged payment issues.

Calls for Accountability

Diana has maintained that demanding payment for completed work is neither unprofessional nor dramatic, encouraging fellow content creators to speak up when they experience delays.

This is not the first time Twiva has faced criticism from creators over alleged payment issues, with the latest complaint renewing conversations about accountability and compensation in influencer marketing.

As brands increasingly rely on digital creators to promote products and services, timely payments remain an important part of maintaining trust in these partnerships.

Twiva's response to Diana's latest allegations was not available at the time of publication.
