The Nairobi Rivers Commission has opened the Nairobi Dam spillway to reduce flood risks ahead of anticipated heavy El Niño rains and facilitate the dam’s restoration.Commission CEO Joseph Muracia said water was already flowing through the spillway following a coordinated intervention involving national government agencies and Nairobi County.
