COTU has denied claims that workers from Marsabit, Garissa and other parts of the country must travel to Nairobi to access their NSSF retirement benefits. Secretary-General Francis Atwoli said NSSF has 64 branches nationwide where members can file claims, make inquiries and access services. He added that the agency has reduced the average benefits processing period from 87 days to seven days, making it easier for retirees to access their dues.
