As the total number of confirmed Ebola cases in the country rises to eight, citizens have been urged to maintain strict hygiene, avoid risky physical contact and report suspected cases via the 719 hotline. Public Health PS Mary Muthoni says the Ministry of Health has achieved 97% contact tracing for individuals exposed to the first patient. Muthoni adds that authorities have intensified screening and surveillance nationwide to prevent community spread.
