Andy Deh, the son of the late reggae MC John Maina, alias Fullstop, has been admitted to hospital with serious pancreas and intestinal complications, according to Instagram photos shared .
The video, posted on Instagram by the entertainment page NGC show him in a hospital bed, wearing teal scrubs.
In his post, Andy reflected on his situation and described what he had been through.
“We are responsible for most of the things that happen to us in life. Hapa vile unaniona, not a single meal was had for 3 days. Wameingiza pipe hadi kwa tumbo tu retrieve some fluid in my intestines that was stopping food from digestion. Pancreas nayo ilikuwa imeanza kuoza. Hii room wamenifungia till further notice.”
Past remarks on endometriosis
Andy’s hospitalisation comes weeks after remarks that drew criticism online. On 31 August 2026, he linked the misuse of emergency contraceptive pills to endometriosis.
He spoke on the Chizi Podcast, during a discussion of stage 4 endometriosis, the condition TV presenter Natalie Githinji has battled. The comments were widely condemned.
Comedian Eric Omondi publicly reacted, asking Kenyans to help him find Andy. Andy responded by questioning what Omondi meant. Many users recalled the controversy when news of his admission broke.
