The government has praised the state of the economy, saying it is on an upward trajectory. National Treasury Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo cited a six-month foreign exchange reserve cover hich has led to the strengthening of the Kenyan shilling. Speaking in Eldoret on the Finance and economic Mashujaa day thematic week ,he also highlighted five billion dollars in remittances last year and increased investment by ordinary Kenyans, citing the Kenya Pipeline Company share offer, which attracted more than 70,000 ordinary Kenyans.
