People’s Party of Kenya leader Ndindi Nyoro has given the government until the weekend to lower fuel prices, accusing President William Ruto’s administration of exploiting Kenyans through inflated petroleum costs and higher margins for importers and distributors. Speaking to party aspirants and delegates at the party headquarters, he argued that import costs had fallen even as pump prices rose. He urged Parliament to scrap the value-added tax on fuel, saying this would immediately reduce prices.
