The EACC is welcoming a High Court decision upholding the corruption convictions and sentences of former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, his wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u and two associates. In a ruling delivered yesterday, Justice Rose Ougo also overturned their acquittal on money laundering charges. The EACC says the decision strengthens efforts to trace proceeds of corruption and hold those responsible accountable.
