Kenyan car enthusiast Luqmaan Hasham, popularly known online as 'Lookie', has publicly refuted online allegations linking him to a fatal traffic collision over the weekend.
The social media creator released a video statement on TikTok to directly address rumours claiming he was driving a high-end luxury sports car involved in the incident.
Rumours Sparked After Weekend Collision
The collision took place along James Gichuru Road in Nairobi, Kenya, in the early hours of Sunday, 11 October 2026. Reports from observers and posts across social media indicated that three vehicles were involved: an Aston Martin DBX, a Volkswagen Tiguan, and a Suzuki hatchback operated by a local taxi driver.
Following the crash, rumours spread rapidly online suggesting that Hasham was behind the wheel of the Aston Martin and had been participating in illegal street racing.
“So right now things is happening out there,” he began.
In response to the mounting speculation, Hasham published a video on TikTok on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, to clear his name. He clarified that while he was present near the location, he was neither driving the Aston Martin nor involved in the collision.
Addressing his audience directly, Hasham said: "So right now things is happening out there. There's some information going on that I caused an accident on the weekend with the Aston Martin. It wasn't me. I wasn't part of it.”
He acknowledged that people may have spotted him at the location, adding: "I was seen over there. But that does not mean I was part of it."
Call to Police and Threat of Legal Action
Far from causing the incident, Hasham explained that he actually assisted at the location by contacting law enforcement officers.
"I'm the one who called police officer and he came to the scene over there," Hasham stated. He maintained his total independence from the incident, stating: "I do not know anything and I was not part of anything."
Hasham urged social media users to stop circulating unverified reports about him.
He concluded his message with a firm warning regarding future claims: "Anything that is spread about me anymore, any accusations, I will take legal actions."
