As Kenya approaches the 2027 General Elections, Nominated Senator Essy Okenyuri  has called for greater inclusion of women, youth, persons with disabilities and marginalized groups in political leadership. Okenyuri made the remarks during a high-level policy dialogue convened by the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) in collaboration with UN Women, emphasizing equal opportunities, meaningful participation and inclusive decision-making as pillars of a stronger democracy.
