Indian nationals planning to travel to Kenya are advised to obtain the mandatory travel health insurance for foreign nationals entering the country prior to departure. The High Commission of India in Nairobi issued the directive after the government of Kenya introduced mandatory travel health insurance for foreign visitors entering Kenya after October 5. The commission noted that existing travel or medical insurance policies do not substitute for the prescribed mandatory insurance.
