The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has summoned former Senator Hassan Omar to appear before its Electoral Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee on 21st this month. The summons follows remarks he allegedly made at a Mombasa rally on September 11th regarding voting by deceased voters. Omar will have an opportunity to respond to the allegations before the committee makes its determination.
