The National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee is pushing for predictable funding to ensure timely payment of Universal Health Coverage workers in counties. Committee Chairperson Samuel Atandi says county allocations must reflect the actual cost of devolved functions and allow governments to meet their obligations without accumulating arrears. The issue emerged during consultations with the Commission on Revenue Allocation on proposed county funding for the 2027/28 financial year.
