Kenya is preparing to host the African Union Extraordinary Summit on Local Manufacturing in Nairobi from December 3 to 5, 2026.Medical PS Dr. Ouma Oluga chaired a planning meeting focused on coordination, investment and industry engagement, as the  summit aims to boost local production of medicines, reduce import dependence and improve access to essential health supplies. It is expected to produce a Nairobi Action Plan to guide Africa’s health manufacturing growth.
