The Director of Public Prosecutions has charged Jones Bogonko afresh over allegedly using forged documents to pose as an ordained Catholic priest in Lodwar and perform priestly duties without authorization. The Church says he relied on forged ordination and clerical documents to convince clergy and congregants that he was a legitimate priest. Appearing before Justice Evanson Ngigi, Bogonko pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Sh. 100,000, with the case set for mention on December 17.
