The government is rolling out an electronic birth notification system to reduce bureaucracy and delays in birth registration as part of wider efforts to digitise public services, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has said. Murkomen said the system would make birth registration more accessible to Kenyans by streamlining the process of notifying authorities of births. The CS spoke at Kaptumo in Nandi county, where he accompanied President William Ruto during his North Rift development tour.
