Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi says Kenya's economy grew by 5.3 per cent in the first quarter of 2026, up from four per cent during the same period last year. CS Mudavadi also cited stability of the shilling against major currencies and foreign exchange reserves of 14.9 billion US dollars, equivalent to 6.1 months of import cover as of October first. He attributed the performance to economic reforms, stability and growing investor confidence.
