Civil society group Haki Africa wants the government to put frontline health workers at the centre of its Ebola response. The organization’s Program Officer Japheth Oluoch said doctors and nurses treating patients must be safeguarded, supplied with adequate protective equipment, and covered by a special insurance scheme to shield them from the risks of their work.
