There is an alarming shortage of nurses who specialize in caring for the elderly, highlighting the need for more trained healthcare support workers in the country. This was revealed during a graduation ceremony at Mercy Life Training College in Kiambu, where concerns were raised over the growing threat of diseases to the elderly compared to previous years. The graduates acquired practical skills in home-based and clinical care, with director Rosemary Nyambura saying the curriculum meets international standards.
