Former Second Lady Dorcas Rigathi has raised concern over increasing cases of alcoholism and substance abuse, particularly in the Mt Kenya region. Speaking in the United States, the wife of DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua blamed government laxity for the trend. She warned that substance abuse among young people, including students in institutions of higher learning, threatens their future and called for urgent intervention to address the crisis.
