Kenyan musician Bien-Aimé Baraza has made history as the first African artist to sign with Atlanta-based record label Quality Control Music. The announcement was made jointly on social media by the label and the singer.
The partnership is being executed in collaboration with Courtesy Of LLC. To mark the announcement, Bien has released his new single, titled "I'll Be Okay", which is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Announcement and Partnership Details
Quality Control Music officially announced the deal online with a message welcoming the Kenyan singer. The statement read: "QC goes global. Join us in officially welcoming Kenya’s own @bienaimesol to Quality Control as our first African artist, in partnership with Courtesy Of LLC!"
Executives at Quality Control expressed enthusiasm for Bien's musical talent and live performance skills. Label co-founder Kevin "Coach K" Lee highlighted the artist's ability in his official statement.

"Bien is a star—seasoned, deeply talented, and the kind of artist who can hold a stadium with just a guitar,” Kevin "Coach K" Lee said.
Expanding International Reach
Quality Control chief executive Pierre "P" Thomas pointed to Bien's existing accomplishments and established fan base. He explained that the partnership focuses on expanding the singer's global audience.
"Bien has it! He’s got the songs, a great performer, real fan base, and he’s already done a lot on his own. For me, it’s about how much bigger we can expand his global reach. There’s a great opportunity here, and that’s what excites me," said Thomas.
