President William Ruto has urged tea farmers to elect credible directors to improve the management of their produce and ensure better bonuses. Speaking on the third day of the Agriculture Summit, Ruto attributed disparities in bonus payments to poor management, saying effective leadership would help farmers reap greater returns. He said tea production had increased by 50 million kilogrammes, while the average price per kilo had risen to KSh30 from KSh16 three years ago.
