Four people have died and 16 others injured following a road accident at Riverland along Meru –Nkubu road last night. The accident occurred when a lorry reportedly veered off the road, hitting several vehicles and roadside traders. North Imenti OCPD Hassan Bashir confirmed the incident, saying emergency teams responded to the scene. The injured were rushed to hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
