• President William Ruto has defended his decision to attend the graduation of more than 3,700 technical workers trained at NITA. He says his presence was meant to highlight the importance of vocational training and change public perceptions of technical careers. Ruto also pointed to sector reforms, including an independent body to examine and certify trainees.
