KMPDU has questioned Kenya’s preparedness to handle Ebola, citing challenges in border counties.The union’s regional deputy secretary, Dennis Miskellah, says ongoing strikes in counties such as Siaya and Kajiado over unpaid salaries and lack of medical cover could undermine the response. He says the Ministry of Health should involve counties in preparedness plans and warns that health workers without medical cover may not handle Ebola cases.
