A 37-year-old stepfather has been sentenced to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling a nine-month-old infant in Kisumu. Kombewa Magistrate Jocelyn Kimetto ruled that the prosecution presented overwhelming evidence, calling four witnesses who testified against the convict. A clinician who examined the child found that the infant had suffered a fractured thigh bone and sustained visible lacerations, which were consistent with defilement.
