Kenya will need to feed an additional 40 million people by the time the country marks 100 years since independence, Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe has said. He stressed the need for proper planning to ensure continued food security as the population grows. Kagwe said his ministry is working with other government agencies to increase food production, including through measures such as subsidizing farm inputs and supporting farmers.
