Collo Blue has called out Chedabuoy after revealing private messages in which the latter allegedly apologized and asked to be unblocked following his public criticism of Collo Blue and The Cluster.

The revelation has sparked fresh debate among fans, with many questioning whether the online exchanges between the two were genuine beef or simply part of the entertainment.

Chedabuoy explains himself

In the leaked DM, Chedabuoy appeared to explain the motive behind his online attacks, insisting that there was no personal hatred involved.

According to the message, Chedabuoy said his actions were intended to keep the entertainment industry active and give fans something to talk about.

“It was just for fun and to keep the entertainment industry active.”

He reportedly went on to clarify that he did not have a personal problem with Collo Blue or The Cluster.

“I have nothing personal against you or The Cluster.”

The message appeared to present the public criticism as entertainment rather than a genuine personal dispute.

He allegedly asked to be unblocked

What appears to have raised eyebrows, however, was the private nature of the communication.

While the criticism was playing out publicly online, Chedabuoy allegedly reached out to Collo Blue privately, apologized and asked to be unblocked.

The development has left some fans questioning the contrast between the public exchanges and what was allegedly being communicated behind the scenes.

For Collo Blue, the private apology appears to have been significant enough to bring the matter into the public domain.

Fans react to the alleged beef

The incident has also revived conversations about the role of social media in Kenya's entertainment industry.

Public disagreements between entertainers often attract huge attention, with fans taking sides and conversations spreading rapidly across social media platforms.

However, Chedabuoy's alleged explanation suggests that at least some of the criticism may have been intended to create entertainment and keep audiences engaged.

This has raised an important question: How much of celebrity beef is real, and how much is simply part of the show?

Entertainment or genuine conflict?

Chedabuoy's alleged message paints the situation differently from how the public may have perceived the online attacks.

By saying that the exchanges were “just for fun” and that he had “nothing personal” against Collo Blue or The Cluster, he appears to have drawn a line between entertainment and genuine personal conflict.

Still, the decision by Collo Blue to expose the private conversation means the issue is unlikely to disappear immediately.
