The crash also claimed the lives of the two pilots and Lucy's security aide.

Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing, with international aviation experts now assisting with the probe.

Following the crash, forensic examinations and DNA identification were carried out before the families finalized the burial arrangements.

The family has confirmed that there will be no body viewing because of the condition of the remains following the crash.

The couple will instead be laid to rest at Glen Forest Cemetery on Thursday, October 8, with members of the public allowed to attend.

The funeral has since attracted hundreds of mourners, with people continuing to gather at Chivayo's home ahead of the final farewell.
