Kenya has tightened Ebola screening at the JKIA, targeting travellers arriving from ten African countries considered at higher risk of the virus. Public Health PS Mary Muthoni says passengers from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Angola, Central African Republic, Zambia and Tanzania will now use Gate 16 for enhanced screening. The measures are part of intensified preparedness following Kenya’s confirmed Ebola case.
