NCIC has censured Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku over remarks it found divisive and ethnically inflammatory. NCIC says Ruku made the comments during a July rally in Kiang’ondu, Tharaka Nithi County. The commission has ordered him to cease such utterances and undergo a remedial conciliation process. Ruku previously acknowledged making the remarks but said they were intended to advocate for equitable regional development.
