President William Ruto says a proposed Sh3 billion dollar investment in electric mobility will create thousands of jobs and strengthen local manufacturing. The partnership between Endelevu Enterprise Corporation and Geely Auto Group will include an assembly plant for 50-thousand four-wheel vehicles annually, another for 100,000 two-wheelers and light mobility vehicles, plus 1,000 solar-powered charging hubs. Ruto says the project is expected to create about 2,000 direct jobs and over 20,000 indirect opportunities.
