The government has stepped up preparations for the anticipated El Niño rains in Garissa county. County Commissioner John Cheruiyot said the government has received sufficient relief food supplies to support communities during the rainy season. He urged residents to also enhance their preparedness and remain alert to possible risks associated with heavy rains, including flooding and other emergencies.
