The government has reiterated that it will intensify the fight against illicit brews in Central Kenya. Speaking in Kiambaa, Kiambu County, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki expressed concern over the rising consumption of illicit alcohol, especially among men, saying it is harming their health and livelihoods. Kindiki warned that without firm action against illicit brews, economic development in the region would have little meaning for local residents.
