Laikipia North MP Sara Korere has urged communities affected by banditry to stop shielding suspected livestock thieves, warning that replacing stolen animals for victims could encourage cattle rustling. Korere said lasting security requires cooperation between residents, community elders and security agencies. She called on locals to help identify and surrender suspected criminals to authorities to curb livestock theft and restore peace in affected areas.
