A new Habitat for Humanity study has linked rising housing costs to worsening household access to basic needs, including healthcare. The global study, covering more than 30,000 people in 22 countries, found 13 percent of respondents had delayed or avoided medical care because of housing expenses. About 30 percent said they had reduced spending on food or dipped into emergency savings to meet housing costs, highlighting the wider health consequences of unaffordable housing.
