The government plans to revive the 2024 crackdown on illicit brew and conduct a fresh review of licenses and permits issued to alcohol manufacturers across the country. Speaking in Kiambu, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki expressed concern over the resurgence of illicit alcohol, warning that it threatens the lives, health and economic well-being of residents. He said enforcement agencies will intensify efforts to enhance compliance.
