A 31-year-old Kisumu man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for murdering his aunt following a domestic disagreement. Kisumu High Court Judge Joe Omido found Kevin Omondi guilty of murdering Gaudencia Otieno in February 2023 at Kapuonja Sub-location, Kisumu West Sub-County, Kevin attacked Aoko with a jembe, causing fatal head injuries,As the prosecution called six witnesses, including a pathologist. The court ruled that the prosecution had proved the murder case beyond reasonable doubt. Nyapietho has 14 days to appeal.
