Government is targeting to progressively expand its annual NYS recruitment to 100,000 young people by 2028. Speaking while presiding over the passing-out parade of more than 15,000 NYS recruits in Gilgil, Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku announced that government has approved Sh.6.4 billion to re-engineer and expand training infrastructure nationwide, creating modern facilities capable of accommodating up to 50,000 trainees simultaneously.
