South African content creator Mihlali Ndamase has denied rumors linking her romantically to two late Zimbabwean tycoons, Wicknell Chivayo and Ginimbi.
She responded on 1 October 2026, a day after Chivayo died in a helicopter crash, in a video and a long written statement.
A frustrated message from the car
Recorded after dark from inside a car, the selfie-style video showed a visibly irritated Mihlali speaking straight to her followers. She said the made-up stories about her were testing her patience.
"It's just kind of alarming, and it is definitely starting to rub me the wrong way that certain individuals can literally sit behind a keyboard and decide to create a narrative, a false narrative about me," she said.
Mihlali sets the record straight
She also published a long written statement, which spread quickly across South African social media. She left no room for doubt.
"I've NEVER dated Wicknell nor have I met him, and I've also NEVER dated Ginimbi. I don't understand why some of you are so quick to run with narratives created by that imbecile on Twitter, knowing very well he only uses my name for relevance."
She noted that Chivayo had said publicly, before his death, that he had never met her. The rumors kept circulating anyway.
She called the gossip "the lowest form of journalism". Her anger was aimed at bloggers and anonymous accounts, which she accused of using her name to drive engagement.
She was just as clear about her priorities.
"I will always choose to protect my peace over entertaining every rumour, but protecting my peace does not mean allowing people to rewrite my character," she wrote.
She urged those behind the claims to find better ways to spend their time.
Stefflondon's tribute
Stefflondon has spoken for the first time since the death of Wicknell Chivayo, sharing an emotional tribute to the businessman.
She described him as "one of the kindest and most generous people" she knew.
Stefflondon said Chivayo had a big heart and made people feel welcome and valued. She added that he spoke proudly about his children.
She sent her condolences to his family and closed by saying he would be deeply missed.
The two were previously linked, sparking dating rumors and claims of an affair. Others have claimed Chivayo paid for the expensive Rolls-Royce she showed off earlier this year. None of these claims has been confirmed.
