The High Court has dismissed an application by Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi seeking to have an Sh813.1 million asset recovery suit filed by the EACC struck out. Justice Rose Ougo rejected the application by Wamatangi and other defendants, allowing the case seeking recovery and forfeiture of alleged proceeds of graft to proceed. Wamatangi had argued that a separate constitutional petition had resulted in conservatory orders affecting the EACC proceedings.
