Two former public officers have been charged over the alleged use of forged academic certificates to secure government jobs, with one case involving more than 6.2 million shillings in salaries allegedly obtained fraudulently. EACC says former Kiambu County Assembly Second Clerk Assistant Kenneth Mwiti allegedly used a forged KCSE certificate, while former Kenya Airports Authority employee Daniel Mukoya allegedly used a forged Bachelor of Commerce degree certificate. The two denied the charges and were released on bail as investigations and court proceedings continue.
